Trial Usage and Purchase Records
To provide one anonymous trial action, we use a first-party trial cookie and a server-secret hash of the network address. This trial system does not store raw IP addresses or build a device fingerprint. The cookie and trial-consumption record do not reset each day. A shared network may share the anonymous allowance; signing in provides a separate account trial.
We retain account trial status and payment identifiers, amount, currency, purchase date, and Pro entitlement status to restore purchases and prevent repeat trials. Stripe processes payment details; YouTool does not store card numbers. Contact us about access or deletion requests.

Introduction
YouTool.io is a product brand operated by Austin Davenport ("we," "our," or "us"). It offers limited website trial actions and one-time YouTool Pro purchases. Basic extension customization is free; designated toolbox integrations and connected-channel features require Pro. The service does not currently run display advertising, sell ad inventory, or add watermarks to downloads or exports. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our YouTube analytics tools, sign in to your account, connect a YouTube channel, or use the YouTool.io Chrome extension.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- YouTube URLs and IDs: When you use our tools, you provide YouTube video URLs, channel URLs, or IDs for analysis
- Search Queries: Keywords and search terms you enter into our tools
- Tool Usage Data: Information about which tools you use and how you interact with them
- Contact Information: Name, email address, topic, and message content you submit through our contact form
API Reliability Monitoring
To detect service failures, we collect operational request categories, HTTP status codes, response times, tool groups, and hashed key identifiers. These monitoring records do not include API key values, search terms, requested video or channel URLs, account identities, or raw API responses. Records are grouped by hour and excluded from the dashboard after seven days; older records are removed during subsequent ingestion. Short-lived hashed network identifiers limit reporting abuse.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, screen size, and session or analytics identifiers when applicable
- Usage Analytics: With optional analytics enabled: page categories, tool usage, interaction counts, and timing information
- Technical Data: IP address, user agent, referral URLs, and session information
- Cookies and Local Storage: Preferences, session data, and analytics information
Account, Extension, and Connected Channel Information
- Account Profile: If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, avatar, and Google account identifier through Supabase authentication
- Extension Session Data: When you link the Chrome extension to your YouTool.io account, we create extension session records, token hashes, expiration dates, revocation status, user agent, and last-used timestamps
- Connected YouTube Channel: If you choose to connect your YouTube channel, we store your channel ID, channel title, thumbnail URL, authorized scopes, token expiration time, and OAuth tokens needed to refresh your connection
- Connected Channel Analytics History: While your YouTube channel remains connected, we may store read-only YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API results such as channel snapshots, video metadata, daily performance metrics, traffic source breakdowns, audience/device/geography breakdowns, playlist add/remove metrics, comment counts, and generated insight reports so your account can compare performance over time. We may also review connected-channel patterns internally to improve tools and develop aggregate benchmark or experiment features. We do not publish individual channel analytics, public case studies, or creator-specific examples without permission
- Extension Settings: The extension stores enabled features, theme choices, selected stats range, and daily stats cache locally in Chrome storage on your device
Google OAuth Scopes
YouTool.io requests Google access only for the feature you choose to use.
- openid, email, profile: Used for Google sign-in so Supabase can create and maintain your YouTool.io account session
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly: Used only when you connect a YouTube channel, so YouTool.io can read channel and video metadata needed for connected-channel tools
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly: Used only when you connect a YouTube channel, so YouTool.io can read YouTube Analytics reports for your own connected channel
Third-Party Data
- YouTube API Data: Public information retrieved from YouTube's API including video metadata, channel statistics, playlist data, thumbnails, tags, descriptions, comment counts, and publicly visible comments when a tool specifically requests comments
- YouTube Analytics Data: If you connect your own channel, we use your authorization to retrieve and store read-only channel analytics such as views, watch time, average view duration, average percentage viewed, subscriber gains/losses, engagement metrics, traffic sources, audience/device/geography breakdowns, and content type breakdowns
- YouTube Page Content: The extension may read the current YouTube page URL, video ID, channel ID, title, transcript, description, tags, thumbnail, or visible page signals when you enable or use related features
- Analytics Services: Optional Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights measurements when you enable analytics

Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We also do not sell Google API data, use it for advertising, or use it for personalized advertising. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Service Providers
- Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication, account profiles, extension sessions, connected YouTube records, purchase and access records, trial enforcement, and service diagnostics
- Stripe: Processes payments and refunds and receives the account and transaction information needed for checkout and fraud prevention. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Formspark: Our contact form sends your name, email address, selected topic, and message to Formspark (submit-form.com) for delivery and support handling.
- QRServer: QR generation sends the text or URL being encoded and design parameters to api.qrserver.com. Logo overlays in the QR generator are applied in your browser.
- External assets and embeds: Fonts, icons, images, and embeds may load from third-party hosts, including Google, Tumblr, and content providers you select in Link-in-Bio. Those hosts receive ordinary network request information such as your IP address and browser details. Opening external AI or other tools takes you to that provider; anything you submit there is handled under its policies.
- Google OAuth and YouTube APIs: We use Google sign-in, YouTube Data API, and YouTube Analytics API to authenticate users and provide requested creator tools
- Analytics Providers: Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics for usage statistics
- Hosting Services: Vercel for website hosting and performance
- Return YouTube Dislike: If you enable dislike estimates, the extension sends the current video ID to returnyoutubedislikeapi.com to obtain estimates; that provider receives your network request
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Data Retention
Payment and trial records may remain after sign-out or browser storage removal to restore access, prevent repeated trials, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact us for account access or deletion requests; some transaction records may need to be retained.
Service diagnostics record hashed key identifiers, pool names, status categories, HTTP status codes, response times, and timestamps. They do not include API key values, video URLs, or comment content. The admin panel shows up to seven days of diagnostics; ingestion removes samples older than eight days and rate-limit hashes older than one day.
- Search History: Stored locally in your browser and can be cleared at any time
- Account Profile: Stored while your YouTool.io account remains active or until deletion is requested
- Extension Sessions: Stored while the extension is linked to your account and may be revoked when you sign out or disconnect the extension
- YouTube Connection Records: Stored while your channel remains connected. Disconnecting your channel marks the connection as disconnected, clears stored OAuth tokens where supported by the connection record, and stops use of the connection for new requests
- Connected Channel Analytics History: Stored while your channel remains connected so we can power historical comparisons, outlier detection, topic/metadata pattern analysis, and full channel analysis. Connected-channel history is focused on metrics and metadata; YouTool.io does not store comment text as part of connected-channel private analytics history. Disconnecting your channel disables analytics history and deletes stored private connected-channel analytics history tied to your account
- Extension Stats Cache: Stored locally in Chrome storage once per day for the selected 1D, 7D, or 30D range so the popup can load quickly
- Analytics Data: Aggregated usage data retained for service improvement
- Tool Results: Public website tool results are generally retrieved and returned in real time. Connected-channel account analytics may be stored as analytics history while your YouTube channel remains connected
- Session Data: Temporary session storage clears when its browser session ends. Sign-in state in local storage and extension storage may persist across browser restarts until sign-out, expiration, revocation, or removal through browser settings
Your Rights and Choices
Access and Control
- Clear your local search history through browser settings
- Disable cookies through your browser preferences
- Enable or withdraw optional website analytics through Cookie Preferences; browser settings and blockers provide additional controls
- Disconnect your YouTube channel from your account page
- Revoke YouTool.io’s access in Google Account permissions. You may also contact us to request deletion; signing out alone does not delete stored channel history
- Sign out of or uninstall the Chrome extension to stop extension-side collection
- Contact us to request access, correction, a copy, or deletion of account data. We may verify account ownership before acting. You do not need Pro to request deletion. Removing YouTool’s copy does not delete content stored by YouTube
Security Measures
We use access restrictions, server-side authentication checks, and HTTPS on the hosted service to protect data. No system is completely secure. Our measures include:
- HTTPS for hosted website and API connections
- Secure hosting infrastructure with Vercel
- Operational error monitoring and maintenance
- Limited data collection and retention practices
- No collection of YouTube passwords
- Restricted access to authentication and YouTube connection records used to provide account and extension features
Third-Party Services
YouTube API Services
Our use of YouTube API Services is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Public tools access public YouTube data. If you connect your own channel, we use your authorization to access read-only YouTube channel and analytics data needed to show your connected-channel stats, monitor performance history, and support related creator tools.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
YouTool’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, and the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy. We use Google API data only to provide and improve YouTool.io creator tools, do not sell that data, do not use it for personalized advertising, and do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
Google Services
We use Google Analytics for website analytics. This service is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete such information.
International Data Transfers
Our hosting, authentication, payment, and other providers may process information in countries outside your own. Provider locations and contractual transfer arrangements affect that processing. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Where a change requires consent, we will request it; continued use alone is not consent to a new optional processing purpose.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, account services, tool requests, and purchases rely on performing our agreement with you; optional analytics relies on consent; security, abuse prevention, and support rely on legitimate interests where permitted; and required transaction records rely on legal obligations. You may withdraw analytics consent without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where the law applies to this service, including rights to know, correct, or delete covered personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing. You may also have a right not to be discriminated against for exercising protected rights. We do not sell personal information.
