How to Use the Channel Comparer

The Channel Comparer places two public channel snapshots side by side. It compares current subscriber, view, and video totals, then derives lifetime averages and profile-setup checks. It does not receive private analytics, historical growth, audience overlap, or recent channel momentum.

1

Enter Channel URLs

Paste two YouTube channel URLs in the input fields above. You can use channel URLs, custom URLs, @handles, or direct channel IDs. Our system automatically detects and processes different URL formats.

2

Public Metric Comparison

The tool compares 15 displayed values including current totals, lifetime views per video, views per current subscriber, uploads per year, channel age, and whether public profile fields are present. The Public Scale Index combines subscriber count and lifetime average views; it is not an engagement metric.

3

Review the Differences

Review the differences as research context. A larger total or lifetime ratio does not explain why a channel performed that way, and the comparison should not replace current YouTube Studio data.

Channel Comparison Metrics

  • Subscriber Analysis: Compare current subscribers and lifetime average subscribers per year; this is not historical growth tracking
  • View Metrics: Analyze total views, average views per video, and views per subscriber ratios
  • Publishing Scale: Compare video count, lifetime uploads per year, and the transparent Public Scale Index
  • Profile Setup: Compare listed keywords, description, banner, country, and topic-category fields
  • Channel-Age Context: Compare lifetime subscriber pace, channel age, and public size ratios
  • Comparison Context: See which channel leads on each displayed public value without inferring causation

Use the comparison to form questions for deeper research. Public totals and lifetime ratios can show scale differences, but they cannot reveal retention, traffic sources, audience overlap, current growth, or the cause of either channel's results.
