How to Use the Comment Downloader

The Comment Downloader uses the YouTube Data API to fetch comments up to the limit you select, with optional replies, dates, author names, and like counts. Export the collected sample for research, moderation, record keeping, or analysis in another tool.

Enter Video URL

Paste a public YouTube video URL to begin. Choose a maximum of 100 to 5,000 top-level comments and select relevance or recency ordering before fetching.

Comment Processing

The YouTube Data API returns the available comment threads, timestamps, author names, and like counts. When replies are enabled, the tool also fetches available replies for the collected threads.

Download & Analyze

Export the collected comments as CSV, JSON, XML, Markdown, or plain text. You can also copy a ready-to-paste prompt for analyzing the collected sample in an AI assistant.
